Wouldn't it be funny if...

you talked to your friend who grocery shops once a month and decided you were going to try it. So, you braved the rain and headed to Kroger first. And when you got done putting your food on the conveyor belt at checkout this weird feeling came across you that your green wallet and money envelope were sitting on your desk at home.

I didn't. Oh yes I did. I had 2 buggies full after they bagged it all and my money was at home. I was having You've Got Mail Flashbacks. Cash Only. Hi Rose, I'm Joe, & I'm Hen...Anyway, everybody and their Mama was at Kroger today and they all filed in behind me to check out. It was the Big One Day Sale for pete's sake and we were all stocking up on cereal, Cheez-It's and stuff.

Luckily I had some gas money in my purse. I was praying Dear Lord Baby Jesus 8 pounds 6 ounces PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me have enough cash and I did.

With that said, today was my first attempt at shopping for the month. I can't wait to see how it goes. What a great feeling though. 3 buggies and 2 1/2 hours later I am done. It is all put away. And I need a vacation now because I'm spent. Literally.

YAY!! I'm so proud! Let me know if you need anything else. I'm so glad it went(for the most part) good. I'm also glad you had enough money to pay for it. Can you imagine having to unsack all those groceries and re-sack all those groceries. AHHHH!

That's too funny! Well, not for you when you're in the thick of it I suppose. Glad it worked out.

Did you buy at least 10 Kellogg's and/or Keebler products? If so, you can send off for a $10 rebate making them an even better deal.

I don't understand the shopping-once-a-month thing. Milk and fresh produce simply won't hang in there for a month. Do you just eat canned/frozen the remaining 3 weeks?

That is always one of my biggest fears...I usually check my purse for my checkbook like 5 times before I leave the house! Glad you had cash, chica!
And SO Glad we sang Revelation Song! YEAHHHHHH!

I am cracking up. I just knew they were going to make you put everything back because you didn't have any money!
I see that you repeat lines too from Talledaga Nights! Too funny!
