The Paint Wheel

I LOVE the Sherwin Williams Paint Wheel.

Is anyone else with me on this? Fall always makes me extra excited to watch You've Got Mail. I love the way Meg Ryan's apartment is decorated.

Last night at my show, the girl's apartment where we were was extra cute, like in the movie. And she has painted her walls BLOND. One of my top fave's on the paint wheel.

Fall and Spring always make me in the mood to redecorate.

I haven't posted much because I have a new book I'm reading. Parenting By The Book by John Rosemond.

Does anyone have good recommendations for reading? I am looking for something along the lines of Mary Higgins Clark (clean, suspense, but not gory or super scary). She's pretty much my favorite when it comes to fictional reading. I'm not really into "christian fiction" although I suppose I've never really given it much of a chance.

OK, so it's not suspense, but I love the Mitford series by Jan Karon. Wonderful books! I think you'd really like them!

You've Got Mail is DEFINITELY a fall essential.

Tedd Decker's "Three" is suspensful! And it is Christian Fiction...he writes with Frank Perreti some. I have it at my house, and can bring it to you at training, if you think you might be interested.

Have you read Redeeming Love by Francinc Rivers?

I really like Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta series about a medical examiner. Suspenseful and addicting.

Alexander McCall Smith had 2 good series; one about the only lady detective in Botswana, and one about something-something in either Ireland or Scotland. Possibly England.
Anyway.
"When Crickets Cry" is a GOOD book by Charles Martin, and I didn't realize it was "Christian Fiction," until nearly halfway through.
I loooove Jennifer Weiner, though she may have a few, um choicy, words.

I have to dido the Karen Kingsbury and Franscine Rivers suggestions...not suspense, but super good! I also just finished a trilogy by Liz Curtis Higgs. It is basically the story of Jacob, Leah, and Rachel from the Bible, but set in the 1800s. Literally could not put them down...so wonderful!!! I have recommended them to so many people and everyone has LOVED them!!

I'm not so decorative, but Kurt looks at the Sherman Williams color wheel weekly, if not daily. It's a staple in our home.

A book I enjoyed recently was "Water for Elephants". It's about an elderly man and I just love me some old folks, so you may not like it as much as me.

My bedroom is blonde! It's a little too gold for me, but instead of repainting I put wallpaper in my bathroom that comes close to it, double the gold! I almost painted my new addition blonde, then realized I really wanted an older color called Autumn Blonde, which is more beige.

There are some romance books that the teenage girls in my neighborhood have been reading, a series, that starts with Twighlight, then proceeds on with other stages of the night. They really love these books, you might check them out (I've not read them, so don't blame me!)

I'm starting Teenproofing..

Betty... so for so long of a response, guess I should have emailed!

Our master bath is painted blonde...i love it...versatile! I just finished "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseine (he wrote "The Kite Runner", also a good book). It's a pretty tragic story, but I got it on a Tues. morn, and was finished by Wed. night...couldn't hardly put it down. It was recommended by Jim, part of that study on Islam. I would recommend it...i really like the O Malley series by Dee Henderson too...it is a mystery series.
