French Cooking

1 bag frozen green beans

2 TBS butter

2 TBS finely diced onion

salt

pepper

1/2 cup water

Add all ingredients to pan. Bring to a boil with the lid on. Take lid off and continue to cook until water reduces out.

These are not canned green beans. They are flavorful. Julia style.

Since I discovered this simple way to prepare these beans we have them at least once a week. They are simple. Healthy. And you get to use a saucepan. You are going to love this.

I do almost the same thing with cauliflower and put a little seasoned salt on it. I could eat a whole package by itself!!! I think I'm going to try it with green beans now!

Sounds easy! Next time frozen veggies are on sale I'm getting some green beans!

Yum. A good variation from the boring can.

This is how I make my green beans. I usually use them from a can, but you can do fresh or frozen as well.

Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Dill Weed

I haven't had good luck cooking frozen green beans where they aren't mushy. I might give it another try though. Fresh ones get so expensive when they aren't in season!
