Sweet time with my big boy...

Last night we were at my parent's to celebrate my niece's birthday! Yula had the cutest Barbie birthday party and it was fun to have the whole family (minus Shane who was working) together. She requested Chili which I thought was really cute. We laughed at dinner about stories such as the time my brother brought home 2 Pigmy Goats thinking they'd be nice pets. After bathing them in our bathtub and getting them cleaned up, my parents came home. They didn't think goats would be such a great pet so we had to send them back. We laughed about other stories that I better not post on my blog without permission :0 haaha!

On the way home Moose fell asleep and started snoring. We put him in bed, and Stinky Pete and I stayed up and snuggled on the couch. He let me hold him and we decided we wanted a snack. We sat at the table with our waters and shared a piece of pie. We talked about birthday parties, slip and slides, we sang songs from Beauty & The Beast, and talked about starting school someday. Then SP told me he needed snuggles so he got in bed with me. It was so incredibly sweet to have one on one time with my little boy. The sweet time alone with him made me realize what a rare occurance it is these busy days. This morning as I told Shane about it (he worked a late night until 1am last night), he and I both decided that we are going to start making one on one time with each of the boys a priority a couple times a month-or more if we can.

Very sweet idea. It amazing how when you get your kids one-on-one how precious you realize they are!(Not that you don't KNOW that, you just get time to focus on it more!)My kids are always better behaved when they are solo...why is that? Glad you got some sweet time. And thanks for the card...very uplifting. :)

Very sweet. I'm so looking forward to the day that my Anna wants to cuddle.

Shane was working until 1 AM? That must have been a heck of an XBOX tournament they had going on.

Are you sure Shane wasn't late due to suspiciously being arrested for keeping concealed weapons in his unmarked van?

It is amazing to have conversations with them and realize what little individuals they really are, and I agree a lot of fun. Chloe and I are blessed to have that time built in for us when Chad is at the fire station after Will goes to bed!
