Water?

So, does anyone else want to join me in trying to drink 8 glasses of water a day?

Random I know. I'm wanting to try to take some baby steps to being a little healthier, and water always seems like the most manageable way to begin. Let me know if you're interested.

Does anyone want to start running 5 miles a day? Yeah, me neither.

We had a great Thanksgiving. We spent it with Shane's side of the family. 7 kids, only 1 girl in the bunch and she did awesome hanging with her wild cousins. We piled into Shane's parents house and had a ball. I gained 4 pounds. Please Lord let it be water weight.

Last night was one of those warm cozy nights at home. It was COLD outside and we had laundry going, beef stew simmering on the stove, and all the Christmas lights on in the house. It was a great, restful Sunday night. Hope ya'll have a nice Cyber Monday. (is this new, where have I been because I never remember hearing about Cyber Monday?!)

oh well trust me, Honey Child. You drink the recommended ozs of
H20 and you WILL run the 5 miles a day - to the little room!!!

that's the diet guru's secret y'know. it really has nothing to do w/what you EAT. they make ya drink have the world's water supply everyday and the running to the potty and all that entails (no pun intended :)) is where ya lose the lbs.....

I'll join ya... sort of. I don't really drink "glasses" of water, but if I keep my big thermos filled up I'll sip on it all day and usually fill it up 2 or 3 times.

It's pretty easy in the summer, but it's so cold now I really don't feel like drinking water much. But I'll make more of an effort.

And your mom is right. :)

I'm in... I just got a new britta water filter with a cool mug:). I usually drink tons at school and the bathroom is 10 miles away so I'll probably be down to a mere skeleton by the time Christmas rolls around and NO.. I've never heard of cyber monday either.... crazy huh? I like the idea of it, though!

When I want to get my allotted 64 oz. of water in a day, I fill a pitcher with all wight glasses and set it on the counter next to the sink. If I drink it all up before dinner, I get to have a big girl drink with my food. If not, I have to drink water the rest of the evening. Sometimes it's motivating. Sometimes it's not...Good luck!

THANK YOU! One of my friends in ATL was talking about Cyber Monday and I was thinkin' "Girl, I barely know who one the presidential election. I have no idea what Cyber Monday is" Needless to say, I gotta get out more. :)

I had to ask Eric boy what Cyber Monday was. Never heard of it! HMMMM>>>still contemplating whether I want to join the water brigade...especially since I am on a hot tea kick right now. I hate wasting time going to the bathroom...stupid excuse, huh? But, I have felt dehydrated lately! I had fun this morning!

A diet guru who did a study found that those drinking more water did not lose more weight than those who did not. Bummer! Although I think your mom's philosophy is more legit perhaps than this study's findings.

Plus, don't all diets start on January 1st!

I'll join you on the water brigade! I have been slowly getting back into drinking water. I hate it so usually I make myself drink a 16 oz bottle after my morning coffee...I can two bottles in at lunch (one with a crystal light packet in it...it counts in Weight Watchers) and one before I leave work...then at home I'll have a coke...I try to get the 8 oz cokes...they were only 2 WW points.
We can catch up on our committment at the Premier Christmas Party. By the way...$ is coming your way for me and my hubby.

It's really not that hard as you think. Measure what 8oz. really is and you'll see it's not as much as you think! I was surprised! AND... the more water you drink, the more you want. You'll start waking up in the middle of the night CRAVING a cold, tall glass of H2O.
