Consistency Not Perfection

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.
— Aristotle
Do you know what you want?

Do you know where you are heading?

Do you have a dream?

A Big One?

This weekend I was reminded again that if your dream is not intimidating to you it is probably insulting to God.

The road to reach your goal happens with consistency, not perfection.

Look around and think about it.

A little here and a little there every single day is the way to reach your goal.

Today is Laundry Day.  Get the loads going and caught up.  Go fast.
Fold and put away right away.
4:00pm is the cut-off time to be done.
There is an ending point.
While you are in the Laundry Room wipe something down right quick.
Give the floor a quick sweep.
Do something little to freshen it up each time you walk in.

Are you liking the house talks we've been having?

I want to make sure, because if it is uninteresting we can talk about other important things like Big Texas Hair.

I'd rather talk big texas hair over doing laundry any day of the week, but that doesn't mean I don't love your posts! Any idea to make things simpler is always welcome.

So for the first time that I can remember in my married life, I did all our laundry AND put it away. yes, that's right, Topher couldn't find a single piece of laundry on any bed or couch in our home!! Plus, Esther finished her homework after school, she and Graceyn played outside, they picked up toys and took a bath all before Topher got home. Plus, I was working on dinner (which was ready on time) and the girls were peaceful when Topher got home. I used the time in between laundry loads to clean up my kitchen since we'll be at dance class in the morning. The kiddos were all in bed before 8 and Topher and I sat down to milk and cookies...yep, I think I like your new organizational posts!!

I am so happy to hear your success stories! It fires me UP! Better than retail therapy! Almost as good as the Shark Steamer infomercial :)!

Anna... thanks for your posts lately. I'm RIGHT there! Have been thinking a lot about the challenge of balancing managing our home and my part-time ministry position. So what great encouragement! Bless you, friend. (And say hi to the Kears!) -- Amy (Gaden)
